Central vac is a great DIY project for people with plumbing background or experience. Some basic electrical know-how will come in handy as well. We sell all the equipment you’ll need, right down to the glue and wiring. Just bring the elbow grease and some tools. We make up our own DIY kits in-house that include a good mix of fittings and pipe that you will need. You can also buy extra fittings and pipe a-la-carte.
Keep in mind, central vac pipe and fittings are specially made. They may look like standard 2″ PVC, but the piping you’ll need is thin wall and polished for air-flow. Only central vac companies will carry this pipe & fittings.
